This design keeps fresh, cool water available for your animals at all times with a float. Cooler groundwater is usually between 40 and 50 degrees when it enters the waterer and reservoir. The float automatically rises up and seals off the flow of water entering to keep it full at all times. Whenever an animal drinks, the displaced water is quickly replaced keeping cool water in place at all times.
In the winter, the water is warmer than the ambient air and will keep it from freezing. For colder climates, the optional heaters will keep the water from freezing.
These animal waterers are made of polyethylene, have smooth edges, and are resistant to corrosion. The durable poly is designed to take abuse without denting or breaking and the sloped bottoms make for easy cleaning. When coupled with the waterer's 5-year warranty, this is a long-lasting livestock and horse waterer!
