Stall Feeder Description

Experience the convenience of the 'tilt out' stall hay feeder, transforming your daily hay-feeding routine into a quick, clean, and effortless task. The process of replenishing hay flakes and grain becomes a breeze as you tilt the feeder out, eliminating the need to enter the stall and contend with your horse. The feeder smoothly tilts down and out into the alley, providing easy access for filling and cleaning, directly into a wheelbarrow if desired. The hinged lid ensures your horse stays out while you fill the feeder from the outside.

The feeder also includes a built-in wet-erase board for maintaining a feeding schedule and a spring clip for attaching messages and receipts. Designed specifically to fit Hi-Qual horse stalls, this versatile and robust 50-pound feeder simplifies your everyday feeding tasks.

Stall Feeder Video Review

The tilt-out design of this stall feeder allows you to replenish the flake hay or grain without entering the stall with your horse. It has a drop-down lid to keep the horse from stretching his neck through and grabbing hay before you tilt back for consumption.

The ingenious design of this feeder allows it to effortlessly tip out of the stall and into the alley, facilitating easy cleaning and maintenance. It even flips completely over, enabling you to dump any remaining hay or grain directly into a wheelbarrow positioned below. The full tilting movement also proves advantageous for thorough hosing and cleaning. A protective drop-in wall is in place to prevent your horse from poking its head through the space left by the feeder, allowing you to reload without any interference from your equine companion.

The accompanying image illustrates the feeder fully tilted open, providing access to the entire feeding area. Meanwhile, the top lid descends to prevent your horse from entering the feeder space while you carry out your tasks.

It also comes with a very handy, built-in clipboard for receipt and paper messaging and also a grease board for keeping track of feeding schedules or medicinal information.

The interior has a flake screen to hold the hay in place while allowing easy access to your horse.  In this picture, you can see the top lid come down to enclose the back of the feeder to keep your horse out while you're working.

The easy tilting action is accomplished by a simple hinge on the bottom of the feeder that allows it to be rotated freely.

Features of the Drop-down Stall Feeder

One of the options of the traditional horse stall front wall is the drop-down feeder. It's got a grease board built into the front for leaving messages and also has a clip for leaving paper messages or keeping receipts. It includes a lock so the horses can't kick it out from the inside. To open it, you simply unlock the lock and tilt the feeder down giving you easy access to the inside of the feeder. Fill it with hay or grain without entering the stall.

It also has a roof section that slides down to protect the inside of the feeder while you're working. This handy cover also protects the top of the feeder when closed so the horse can't come over the top.

To close the feeder, you simply flip it back up and lock it into place. Cleaning is done by simply unlocking it, tilting it outward, and releasing the stop cable so you can tilt it completely upside down. This allows for easy cleaning into your wheelbarrow or alley floor. Once clean and dry, simply flip it back up, lock it and you're ready to go.

This is a very simple and effective design for a heavy-duty stall feeder that eliminates the need to go into the stall with your handful of hay!
