It's important to give your young cattle the best start possible right after birth. Typically in the winter and when cold temperatures are prevailing, it is important to get them a warm, dry environment to recover from the trauma of being born. This warmer comes with a dependable electric heater that slides underneath the floor where the cattle can rest, warm up, and dry off in enclosed comfort. Below are some of the features of the simple and effective heater and you may see all of our Calf Warmers here! It comes with a high-performance 110-volt heater that has 3 heat settings and 2 fan settings. The bottom is ribbed, rounded on the front, and molded to accept an optional hitch for easy transportation. It's a very convenient feature when moving it around the pasture or from calf to calf. Set up for Towing The Deluxe high-performance heater is enclosed in moisture moisture-resistant box that is separate from the inside compartment. The heater slides in and out underneath the floor. The heater box (click here) and most parts are available to order individually. Floor The raised slotted floor allows for warm air circulation and can be lifted out for easy cleaning. The floor supports are made from stainless steel. Vent/Peep Hole allows for proper ventilation and viewing the calf inside without releasing any heat. The calf heater does not have a picture of a cow on the side, it's just for illustration purposes
1: Unpack the heater and plug it in and let it burn off
any packing oils there may be on the unit. 2: Set the temperature control where you think it should
be and put the heater into the calf warmer through the hole in the back of the
lower section. Place the top section in place and get an idea of where the
control needs to be set to get the temperature you want for the calf. 3: When you put the calf in the unit put the head of the
calf at the same end as the heater and then adjust the air vent/peephole.
Check the unit often while the calf is in it to make sure you have the temperature
set where you want it. The temperature
and the length of time you leave the calf in the unit are up to you. Options: Rubber Floor Mat, Thermometer, and a Second
Fan Thermometer: You
may want to put a thermometer in the unit so you can watch what the temperature
is while you have a calf in the unit. There are several different types you can
use: The 1” Dial thermometer with a
probe works well you just drill a small hole for the probe and drop it in, if
the calf bumps it, it will move or pop out. If you use a small outdoor
thermometer you may want to shield it so the calf cannot bump into it and break
the tube. There is a rubber floor mat available to help the calf
from slipping. It comes in 12” square sections that snap together to hold them
together and in place. This flooring
also has holes in it to let the heat through. There is an axle fan that can be
put into the unit for extra air movement to dry the calf faster. It would mount
on the opposite end as the peephole. Calf Warmer Limited Warranty We warranty each
