ATV Cattle Guard Description

These are versatile drop-in-place guards that provide the seamless functionality of a Cattle Guard along your fence line! The ATV cattle crossing is designed to facilitate easy movement through fence lines and into other pastures without the need for gates. The installation is a breeze – no digging is required. Simply cut your fence, place the cattle guard on the ground, and reattach your fencing – it's that simple!

The drive-over surface area spans 75" in width, accommodating vehicles like Gators and Kubota with ease.

It's essential to note that while these guards are crafted to deter cattle from attempting to cross, caution should be exercised to prevent them from walking directly on the elevated piping, as entanglement in the railings could occur. Additionally, we do not recommend their use with horses.

ATV Cattle Guard Description

These drop-in cattle guards are specially designed to enable seamless ATV crossings across your fence lines, eliminating the need to open a livestock gate. Installation is straightforward as there's no requirement for a vaulted area to be dug underneath. Simply place them directly on the ground, and the elevated design serves as an effective visual and physical deterrent for your cattle. To set it up, cut your fence line and attach it to the 50" tall vertical wing posts on either side – and you're good to go.

It is advisable to keep the area underneath the cattle guard free from growing vegetation to prevent it from being covered in weeds and hidden from your animals.

The horizontal rails are constructed from 1-1/2", 11-gauge square tubing, positioned in a rising ramp that reaches a height of 14 inches. The standard interior drive-over measurement is 75 inches, while the overall outside dimension is 87 inches. The design has an overall length of 91 inches, but custom sizes are available for longer ATVs if needed. Please note that the standard size presented here will not accommodate a four-seat ATV. The ramp needs to be modified and lowered by approximately 12.5 inches instead of the taller 14-inch height.

This straightforward drop-in-place cattle grid for ATVs provides a simple solution for fence line crossings in multiple pastures. Say goodbye to the hassle of stopping, getting out, and opening gates, only to repeat the process once you've passed through!

Below is a picture of an ATV sitting on the cattle guard. This design is for the smaller two-seat version with the shorter wheelbase but we also design them for the longer four-place ATVs so they won’t bottom out.

These next two pictures illustrate the construction and design of the ATV cattle guard. Because this design allows you to simply set it in place, a raised middle section or ramp is built into the design to help deter cattle from trying to cross. The raised section creates an additional visual deterrent and keeps the barrier from sinking into the ground for being quickly overgrown with weeds and hidden from view.

Product Review for ATV Cattle Guard

I recently purchased the ATV Cattle Guard from Barn World, and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance and design. One of the standout features is its ease of installation; the set-in-place design made the entire process straightforward and hassle-free. Within no time, I had it securely in position, ready to protect my pasture without the need for heavy equipment or extensive labor.

Connecting the fence line to the upright side rails was surprisingly simple, thanks to the thoughtful design that accommodates seamless integration. This ensured a sturdy and reliable barrier for my livestock, enhancing both safety and efficiency on my ranch.

The ATV Cattle Guard's solid and robust construction impressed me immediately upon arrival. It's clear this product is built to last, capable of withstanding tough conditions and providing long-term peace of mind. The one-piece design, while contributing to its strength, did result in slightly higher shipping costs from Texas than expected. However, the ability to stack them efficiently offset this, making it a cost-effective solution on a per-unit basis.

Overall, the ATV Cattle Guard from Barn World exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, ease of installation, and durability. It's a wise investment for any rancher looking to safeguard their property and livestock effectively.
