| QUESTION: HOW MUCH DOES THE HORSE HAY FEEDER WIEGH |
| ANSWER: This feeder weighs 261 lbs. |
|
| QUESTION: I am looking at this sioux's slant bar hay feeder, and am I reading this correctly that the feeder has a bottom in it? Also in the question above mine, you answered that the horse may still pull the hay out and drop it on the ground. If this is the case, how does it offer a 25 percent reduction in feed waste? Can you also give me an approximate shipping rate to 82334. Thanks |
| ANSWER: Hello and thank you for your inquiry.
This feeder is a straight bar feeder as pictured. We do offer an 8' slant bar feeder (item #SSC83HF) and an 8' double slant(item #SSDS83HF).
The closed bottom refers to the skirt that keeps hay from being pawed out, trampled in the mud or blown around. It prevents waste by keeping the hay inside the feeder where it can still be reached.
This feeder ships (item #SSH83HF) from South Dakota and the shipping to your zip of 82334 would be $223.89. If there's anything I can help with, please don't hesitate to ask.

| QUESTION: I've been looking at the O'Neil Plastic Round Bale Feeder. Do you think that one or the Sioux Slant-Bar Hay Feeder would keep the hay in better? The O'Neil said it was 35" high, but the Sioux is a litte more confusing. I am guessing I would pick #5 Horse, 55" high? |
| ANSWER: The height of the horse hay feeder is 48" high. The hay will be kept better in the ONeill hay feeder. Of course, when your horse goes to eat the hay, it may pull the hay out of either unit and drop it on the ground. Either unit is easy to ship unassembled to your farm. |
