| QUESTION: My quarter horse gelding has low withers and an extremely broad wide back...he has scarring on his withers from his previous owner's bad fitting saddle and pad, he was prone to "crow hopping" from the pain. I'm considering your supreme roper pad for him, I will just be trail riding him though, no performance events. Will it be a good choice for him, or should I consider one of your other pads? My best answer is that we had a client that was at roping in Monroe, La. Someone let their stud pony get loose and rounded a trailer under the tie rope of two horses. One of them flip backward, landing directly on the horn break its withers. After a time the vet cleared the horse for use. The would never work right, bucked occasionally. The man had won, one of our pads and decided to see how the horse would react. He went out and roped and bought 3 more pads for his other horses.
Another lady that had sored her "pony" horse on the track over at Hot Springs had a wither sore develop and couldn't get it and had the horse to vets. all over the country. Her farrier suggested she let the horse rest for 2 days then try this same pad. She never looked back and bought 2 pads and we now make custom jockey pads for all her Throughbreds she trains.
I might also suggest that you have a "good" chriropacter look at him. but you will find with 5 Star pads you don't have to cinch as tight, plus no other pad on market has the compression protection rating these do. 6 psi. All others only rate out at 2psi or less. |

| QUESTION: I see there is an extra $15.00 charge for standard wear leathers. How does it come if you do check this option? |

| QUESTION: My horse has very high withers due to back dropping w/ age and saddle are tight, right on top of his withers. Does this pad have a cut out or an extra thin area over withers?

| ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry into our 5 Star Saddle Pads! The Supreme Roper pad you are inquiring about has a gullet hole above the withers. We have found this to be quite beneficial in relieving pressure on high withered horses. There is a bridge of felt in front of the gullet hole, but if the pad fits the saddle properly, the gullet of the saddle rides above the hole, thus eliminating any pressure on the high withered horse.

| ANSWER: Thank you for your interest in the fine 5 Star Supreme Roper Pad! It is solid, 100% pressed wool felt all the way through! Provides the BEST compression protection, and wicking of heat and moisture away from your animal! Size is approximately 32" x 32", measured just behind the gullet hole and about half way down the side. This gives the average size. We can shorten the pad if you need a shorter one. Just mention that when placing your order.
