Buff Ducks (Female) (1-14 each)

These ducks are also called Buff Orpington ducks because they originated from the famous Orpington Farms in England. This is the same home of the well known Orpington Breed of chickens. The drake and hen are colored the same with the exception of the drake’s head which is a beautiful seal-brown matched against the soft buff color of the rest of the duck. The hens are good layers, not broody, and will weigh up to 7 pounds. Drakes are about one pound heavier than the hens.

The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION:  Do you have any female mature buff ducks? My buff duck lost its friend, and I'd like to get another one to replace her. My buff is about 3 years old. I think it's male because it has a curl in its tail, but it doesn't have the dark head. Does the dark head come later? Or do females sometimes have a curl in their tail? What would the shipping cost be to Eugene, Oregon for one buff duck? The duck would be put in open range on a pond within a technology park where the company I work for is. It's a natural environment, with other birds and animals, including predators (unfortunately). There are 9 toulouse geese and 1 buff duck as permenanet residents, and mallards and Canadas fly in often. I've been searching the web for answers, so I'd sure appreciate information. Thank you! Barb Gordon
ANSWER:  We do not sell mature Buff Ducks.
