| Better than Nothing Plastic Feeder - for Round Bales |
We came up with the idea of a Round Bale Feeder for Horses due to the frustration with wasted hay during winter feeding and the unavailability of feeders designed specifically for horse safety. The solution was to make a Round Bale Feeder for Horses that was both efficient and safe. Overlapping joints and countersunk fasteners make it safe for the horses. The feeder is very easy to assemble. Total weight - 92 lbs.
Approximately 7 feet in diameter by 35" high
This feeder may be flipped over (with the feet upward) and the height will drop another 8" to about 27". Ideal for small ponies and colts.
As of November 2005 this feeder is only avaliable in the color black

| QUESTION: We like that this one is green (nature friendly color) and that it is simple. Is there a simple, green one like this that will also work for rectangular (square) bales? |
| ANSWER: I'm glad you asked about the color, due to the increased costs of petroleum base products and colored pigments we are switching to a black color starting November 2005 in order to keep our price the same.
However we still offer standard and custom colors at a premium cost depending upon the size of the order, so let’s say a commercial or private farm wants their own theme color or to match the barns, buildings and fences we can do it.
Yes, if you’re talking about the large square bales up to 3’x3’x9’ we have designed a plastic rectangular feeder with a floor system option but are currently trying to understand the marketability of this type of feeder.
