| QUESTION: Hello,
I'm bout ready to pull the trigger on a 16'x6'. Wondering though when it's advisable to add the 'removable box' for the 16'? I'm thinking of putting in the ground since from what I've seen makes it more stable. Also, this is rated but less money than the same sized 'standard' cattle guard here...

| ANSWER: Thank you for your cattle guard questions. The removable box is used to help in areas where large amount of debris are expected to accumulate in the vault. It is fairly easy to clean out the vault area with a rack and sweeping all the debris to one end for removal, but some prefer removing the guard from the foundation.
The standard guards are from a different manufacture and can be competitive when shipping costs are considered.
