Note: You must have equipment available to unload the cattle guard from the delivery vehicle when it arrives. The delivery truck will require you to unload the cattle guard with a loader or fork lift or some other means upon delivery.
16' Long X 6' Wide Flat Cattle Guard
8" X 11.5lb Channel Support Beams
Comes standard with a grey enamel finish.
Pipe ends are capped with 12ga steel to prevent water from sitting in pipe
These cattle guards are fully welded and built to withstand the weight of a fully loaded tractor trailer.
Due to availability of pipe, cattle guards will be built with either 9 pieces of 4 1/2" outside diameter pipe, or 11 pieces of 3 1/2" outside diameter pipe.

If concrete grade beams are used to support the structure, is the cattle guard designed to be supproted on the ends and underside of the "C" beams or channels? If supported by a grade beam then what is the minimum recommended width of support on that beam (contact width between "C" beams and concrete support? |
| ANSWER: we do not have a drawing on a standard proceedure for concrete installtion.
however i would recomand no less than 12" for the channel to set on. the cattle guard should withstand the load just fine supported in this manner. |

| ANSWER: The best thing you can do is have the cattle guard for the person installing
it to measure. All of our cattle guards are made without jigs and may vary
a little bit. Im sorry but I do not no anyone that installs them in that area.

Can a semi filled with feed drive over this and not crush it?

| ANSWER: These are very strong cattle guards. The semi with feed would not be a
problem. The cattle guard is 16' X 6'. There is no different in the strenght
of the boxed or flat. The boxed is made to set on the ground. The box is
to fill dirt and gravel up to it instead of digging a hole for it. The
flat cattle guard must have a hole dug and cement formed for the cattle
guard to set down into. You can also dig a hole for the boxed one and not
have to pour cement. The cattle guards weigh about 100lb per foot. |
