| The Q&A on this Product |
| QUESTION: Does your company make these cattle guards, and if so were and new or used material? |
| ANSWER: These cattle guards are manufactured and ship from the Ft. Worth Texas area. They are made from new material and if you'd like a quote, please forward your shipping zip code and the quantity needed. I'll be able to forward a quote with shipping for your review. Thank you for your interest, Robert Moore Sales@BarnWorld.com 720.238.2190 |
| QUESTION: Want to use for residential storm drain on a street. Could metal screening be welded on top for pedestrian foot and bike traffic to use, but still allow rain water to pass through? |
| ANSWER: The distance between the pipes is approximately 4 to 4 1/2" so you would need something to protect pedestrians crossing. I don't see why it wouldn't work well for your purposes. If you'd like me to put together a quote including shipping, just let me know. Thanks, Rob Sales@BarnWorld.com (720) 238-2190. |
| QUESTION: can I get a quote for a 12' cattle guard with integral box, shipped to zip code 97112? |
| ANSWER: The shipping of the CG-12B to your zip code of 97112 will be $534.45. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything at all. Thanks, Rob Sales@BarnWorld.com (720) 238-2190 |
| QUESTION: Would this fit in a 6 x 12` uhaul trailer? |
| ANSWER: Probably not. The cattle guard is 6 feet wide and the box adds another few inches. |
| QUESTION: Need price and availability on 1ea 12’ cattle guard boxed and 1ea 14” boxed delivered to Luna New Mexico 87824 or you can ship to Mesa Az 85212 if the freight is cheaper
| ANSWER: The shipping will be about $510.00 to Luna , NM. |
| QUESTION: Do you have any detailed pictures showing the grid spacing on the cattle guards? This is for residential use and I want to be sure that kids feet [children, not goats] won't get caught.
Thanks.
Peter Norris |
| ANSWER: The spacing is big enough for a cows foot to go inside of it, so it would be possible for a kid's foot to go in it. |
| QUESTION: How much does this cattle guard weigh? (how large of a forklift will I need to unload it?) |
| ANSWER: It will weigh about 1,500 lb , a 3,000lb forklift will be fine . |
| QUESTION: How much weight can your cattle guards take. We are going to be doing some cement work and need something strong enough to handle a cement truck to go over. And also trucks delivering building materials. |
| ANSWER: That would be no problem. |
| QUESTION: I need to know the gauge of the pipe and the weight which the guard can support. I will be using the cattle guard as part of a wash down station for construction vehicles (up to 40,000 pounds) |
| ANSWER: The thickness of the pipe may vary.It will be a minimum of 3/16. These cattle guards will not have any problem with the 40,000lbs. |
| QUESTION: u say that this guard can be put on flat ground, so u do not need a pit? will a car drag on it while crosssing? |
| ANSWER: Yes, this can be put on the ground, but you will have to build the road up level
to it. You can dig a pit so that you do not have to build the road up so high if
you want to. |
| QUESTION: What are the standard dimensions for this item? 12' wide x ?? deep x ?? long? |
| ANSWER: A CG-12B is 12' long X 6' wide. The depth depends on what size pipe that we
use. We will use either 3 1/2" or 4 1/2". If we use the 3 1/2" it will be
11 1/2" tall. If it is 4 1/2" it will be 12 1/2" tall. We will use wichever
size pipe that we have abailable. |
