Self-Catching Head Gate
We listened to your needs and specially designed an outstanding high-quality, economical, rugged headgate that provides trouble-free, dependable operation year after year.
The Self-Catching Headgate is manufactured from 11 gauge and 14 gauge steel tubing. For best results when using headgate, approach chute should be angled to about 45°.
Features of the Self-Catching Headgate:
Solid Drive:
Linkage connects both sides of yoke.
Eliminates cables and chains.
Protected by dust cover for longer life.
Spring-Loaded, Self Locking Latch:
Opening is adjustable to fit size of cattle being worked.
Tightens with enough tension, yet is harmless to the animal.
Treatment now can be performed fast and easily with minimum stress.
Top Latch System:
Operator releases the top forward latch and swings gate open.
This completes the 1-2-3 step procedure: receive, lock, release.
Cattle think they can pass through easily, but the animal can pass through or back up only when the operator allows.
Latch Protector Strap: Keeps animal's head from tripping latch.
Latch Release Arms:
Can be changed to right side or left side in minutes.
Gate Pivot Control Handle:
Swings the gate open upon release.
May be mounted on right or left side.
Optional Nose Bar:
Holds the head in a firm position for easier, safer treatment, implanting, ear tagging, etc.
Optional Anchor Mat
Optional Leg Gaurd
Tube Drain:
Drains are at the bottom of uprights.
Prevents freeze-up.
