THE CORD
The World's Finest handmade, all-natural, therapeutic 100% Mohair cinchas fit our philosophical position of what is right for horses and mules. Cincha cord is an 8-ply, 100% Mohair cord. The cord is hand laced onto flat buckles and rings. Mohair has been known for years to have the same therapeutic and comfort value as 100% wool felt.

TIED AND WOVEN
Tied cinchas are the traditional flat cinchas with a single layer of mohair cord and can be created with 17, 19, or 21 strands. The 17 and 21 strands have the center D rings attached with nylon webbing. The 19 strand has tied in center D rings attached with mohair cord. Each cord is approximately 1/4″ in width, so cinch width varies according to the number of strands.

The woven cinch is 2 layers of mohair cord thick with woven in "bars". The "bars" are made by a weaving effect with the 2 layers of cord. For reined cow-horse events, my preference would be the woven because I like the look and feel of it best. Although the tied does the job very well too....so, the choice is yours, they will both do the job.
They can be created in either the straight/cutter style or the roper style and have 30 or 31 strands. They also have your choice of leather colors for the keeper on the off side.

Tied-woven cinchas are a combination with tied ends and woven bars. They have either 30 or 31 strands and have a leather keeper on the off side. They can only be created with mid bar style buckles, for example the ss9 or sb3.

They are all comfortable and do a great job.

HARDWARE
5 Star uses BORK FLAT BUCKLE HARDWARE, in TUMBLE or POLISHED FINISH. Bork Saddlery Hardware Co. is the finest and oldest saddle hardware company in the United States. The bronze rings and buckles are made of an alloy offering high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. The FLAT HARDWARE keeps the horse's flesh from "rolling over" and pinching as with roller and round hardware.

Select the Style from the number style list above - you may request any color combination

Measuring for a cinchCinches are sized by measuring from the inside of the buckle to the inside of the other buckle.
