Portable Hay Feeder Review
Paraphrased Text from the video: The brand new plastic portable plastic stall feeder is the newest innovation when it comes to feeding hay and keeping your horses healthy and happy. This totally new and portable feeding solution can be hung low for a natural grazing position which may improve respiratory health!
The feeder keeps the hay off of the ground which reduces incidences of sand and hay is slowly grazed through the feeding slots, which increases salvation through a normal eating motion. Trying to get a large amount of hay is very difficult as the small holes on the feeder ensure slower consumption for better digestion. This replicates nature's way of slow grazing. The openings on all sides ensure your horse can always reach the hay regardless of how it’s turned and will help keep your animals safely occupied while feeding. It’s also great for all sizes of horses. You'll find stall cleaning much easier and faster with less hay to pick up and throw away. The feeder is made from recyclable plastic and to assemble, you simply snap the two sides together and use the clip to hang the feeder and you're ready to go!
Filling the feeder is just as easy as opening and closing again. If you need to soak your hay, it makes that your simple and easy too. Many horses that have equine metabolic syndrome also have high levels of insulin. We are recommending that they go ahead and soak the hay to try and minimize the level of carbohydrates within the hay. It needs to be soaked for about 30 to 45 minutes. You can put it in this container and just set it inside of the water tank with the weight on top of it. When it's done soaking and you’re ready feed, simply hang the feeder in the stall or on your fence line and you’re ready to go.
The clip acts as a safety release as it straightens out at 250 pounds of pressure. If it does get bent or need to be replaced, it’s a minimal cost.
We mentioned that the health easy hay feeder is tough. We tested and tested and then tested it some more. It is more than tough! As you can see in the video, the horse feeder pops right back to life after the worst crushing we could put on it. In our testing in the lab, the health easy hay feeder stood up to repeated abuse time after time.
Keep your horses healthy and happy while saving yourself money on hay bills with one of these rugged portable hay feeders today.
